We're committed to being clear and transparent about how we use your information.

Performance PPC operates as a UK sole-trader business providing PPC and performance marketing services.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Performance PPC is the data controller responsible for the personal data described in this Privacy Policy.

3. Personal data we collect
The personal data we collect depends on how you interact with Performance PPC.
Information you provide to us
When you submit an enquiry through our website contact form, we may collect:
- your first and last name;
- your email address;
- your telephone number, if you choose to provide it;
- the contents of your message; and
- any other information you voluntarily provide when contacting us.
We may also process information contained in subsequent emails, telephone calls or other communications with you.
Business-to-business prospecting information
We may identify businesses and relevant professional contacts who we reasonably believe may have an interest in Performance PPC's services.
Where appropriate, we may collect limited business and professional information from publicly available sources, such as company websites, professional networking platforms, business directories, recruitment advertisements and other publicly accessible business information.
This information may include:
- your name and professional role;
- the organisation you work for;
- your business email address or other published business contact details;
- publicly available professional information;
- the source from which we obtained the information; and
- information relevant to whether our services may reasonably be of interest to your organisation.
We use this information selectively for business-to-business prospecting and direct marketing. We do not intend to use personal contact information for unsolicited marketing where applicable electronic marketing law requires prior consent and no other lawful route is available.
Website and analytics information
If you consent to analytics cookies, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use our website.
This may include information relating to website usage, sessions, interactions, traffic sources, approximate geographic information, browser and device information and engagement with our website.
Google Analytics may use a first-party _ga cookie containing a client identifier where analytics storage has been permitted.
We do not intentionally send the personal information entered into our contact form — such as your name, email address, telephone number or message — to Google Analytics.
Cookie consent information
We use CookieYes to manage cookie preferences and record consent choices.
This allows us to record and respect the choices you make about optional website technologies.
4. How we use your personal data
Depending on the circumstances, we may use your personal data to:
- respond to enquiries and communicate with prospective customers;
- provide information about our services;
- identify and contact relevant businesses and professional contacts about Performance PPC services where permitted by law;
- manage our business-development activity, including recording previous communications and respecting requests not to receive further direct marketing;
- take steps at your request before entering into a contract;
- provide and manage services where you become a customer;
- maintain appropriate business and correspondence records;
- operate, maintain and secure our website;
- understand website usage and improve our website and services where you have consented to analytics;
- record and respect your cookie and privacy preferences;
- establish, exercise or defend legal claims; and
- comply with legal, regulatory, accounting and tax obligations.
Submitting an enquiry through our website does not constitute consent to analytics cookies.
5. Our lawful bases for processing
Under UK data protection law, we must have a lawful basis for processing personal data. The basis we rely upon depends on the circumstances.
Consent
Where you have chosen to allow optional analytics technologies or where consent is otherwise required for a particular processing activity. You can withdraw consent where applicable.
Contract
Where processing is necessary to take steps at your request before entering into a contract or to perform a contract with you.
Legitimate interests
Where necessary for appropriate business purposes such as responding to enquiries, managing communications, securing our website, protecting our legal rights and, where permitted by applicable electronic marketing rules, carrying out proportionate business-to-business prospecting and direct marketing. Where we rely on legitimate interests for direct marketing involving personal data, we consider our interests against the individual's rights, interests and reasonable expectations.
Legal obligation
Where we need to process or retain information to comply with applicable legal, regulatory, accounting or tax requirements.
6. Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how people use our website.
Google Analytics is deployed through Google Tag Manager.
Our implementation uses a consent-management system so that Google Analytics is only activated where the visitor has granted analytics consent.
If analytics consent is denied, our Google Analytics tags are blocked from firing.
We use Analytics information to understand matters such as website usage, traffic sources, sessions, devices and browsers, engagement with our website and successful website enquiries.
Where analytics consent has been granted, a successful contact-form submission is recorded using the generate_lead event.
We do not currently use Google Ads remarketing or advertising tags on this website.
7. CookieYes and consent management
We use CookieYes as our consent-management platform.
CookieYes allows visitors to accept, reject or customise non-essential cookie preferences and allows those preferences to be changed subsequently.
Necessary technologies used to provide and record cookie choices may operate without optional analytics consent.
CookieYes may also maintain consent records to help us demonstrate and manage visitors' choices.
Further information about our current use of cookies and similar technologies is available in our Cookie Policy.
8. Contact forms
Our website uses Fluent Forms to provide our contact form.
When you submit the form, the information you enter is used to receive and respond to your enquiry.
Website enquiry records may also be stored within our WordPress website administration system and transmitted to us by email.
The information submitted through the contact form is not intentionally included in our Google Analytics generate_lead event.
9. Business-to-business marketing
Performance PPC may carry out limited and targeted business-to-business prospecting to introduce our services to organisations that we reasonably believe may have a relevant commercial interest in them.
We may obtain professional contact information from publicly available sources including company websites, professional networking platforms, business directories, recruitment advertisements and other legitimate public business sources.
Where the information identifies an individual, such as a named employee or an identifiable business email address, we treat that information as personal data and process it in accordance with applicable UK data protection law.
Where permitted by applicable electronic marketing rules, we may rely on our legitimate interests in developing our business and introducing relevant services to other organisations. We seek to keep this activity proportionate, relevant to the recipient's professional role and reasonably expected in the circumstances.
Your right to object to direct marketing
You can ask us to stop using your personal data for direct marketing at any time. If you do so, we will stop using your personal data for that purpose.
We may retain limited information on a suppression or do-not-contact list where necessary to ensure that your preference is respected and that we do not inadvertently contact you again for direct marketing.
You can object to direct marketing by replying to the relevant communication or by emailing hello@performanceppc.co.uk.
Email engagement technologies
Our email service providers may offer technologies capable of measuring engagement with emails, such as whether a message has been opened or whether a link has been used.
We may use email engagement technologies where permitted by applicable law and, where consent is required for the relevant technology, only where the necessary consent has been obtained.
We do not currently use email tracking pixels for unsolicited business-to-business prospecting emails.
10. Who we share personal data with
We may disclose or make personal data available to trusted service providers where reasonably necessary to operate our website and business.
These may include providers of:
- website hosting and website-management services;
- website forms and related functionality;
- email and communications services;
- cookie consent management;
- website analytics;
- IT, security and technical services; and
- professional services such as accounting, legal or compliance support where required.
Our current website measurement and consent providers include Google, for Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager, and CookieYes, for consent management.
We may also disclose personal data where required by law or where necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal rights.
We do not sell your personal data.
11. International transfers
Some technology providers we use, including Google and providers of email or other business technology services, may process information using infrastructure or organisations located outside the United Kingdom.
Where personal data is transferred internationally, we seek to ensure that appropriate safeguards or another lawful transfer mechanism applies as required by UK data protection law.
12. How long we keep personal data
We retain personal data only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purpose for which it was collected, including applicable legal, accounting, tax and reporting requirements.
As a general policy, information relating to an enquiry that does not result in an ongoing customer relationship may be retained for up to 24 months following our last meaningful interaction, unless there is a reason to retain it for longer or delete it sooner.
Business-development and prospecting records are retained only for as long as reasonably necessary for the relevant business purpose and are periodically reviewed. Where someone objects to direct marketing, we may retain the minimum information necessary on a suppression or do-not-contact list for longer so that we can continue to respect that request.
Where an enquiry results in a customer relationship, relevant business, contractual, accounting and transaction records may be retained for longer where required for business or legal purposes.
Cookie and analytics information is retained in accordance with our applicable settings and the operation of the relevant service.
We periodically review the information we hold and delete or anonymise information where it is no longer reasonably required.
13. Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration, disclosure or misuse.
No website or electronic communication system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, but we seek to use appropriate safeguards proportionate to the nature of the information we process.
14. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, UK data protection law may give you rights relating to your personal data.
Withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before consent was withdrawn.
To exercise a relevant right, contact hello@performanceppc.co.uk.
Complaints
You also have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator.
15. Cookies and tracking technologies
We use necessary technologies required for the operation of the website and our consent-management system.
We also use Google Analytics where you have consented to analytics.
You can accept, reject or customise non-essential technologies using our cookie banner and can subsequently change your preferences using the Consent Preferences control available on the website.
For more information about the technologies currently used on the website, please see our Cookie Policy.
16. Future changes to our tracking technologies
We may introduce additional website functionality, analytics, advertising, conversion-measurement, email-engagement or social-media technologies in the future.
These could include services provided by platforms such as Meta, LinkedIn or X, or engagement-measurement functionality offered by our communications providers.
Google Ads remarketing and social-media advertising or remarketing technologies are not currently deployed on the website, and email tracking pixels are not currently used for unsolicited business-to-business prospecting.
Where introducing a new technology changes how personal data is processed or involves additional non-essential tracking, we will review and update our privacy and cookie information as appropriate and obtain consent where required.
17. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy where our business practices, website technologies or legal obligations change.
The latest version will be published on this page and the date at the top will be updated accordingly.
